EIXO MONUMENTAL DE BRASÍLIA: PRESENTE E FUTURO

O presente trabalho acadêmico, intitulado “Arquitetura Monumental: presente e futuro”, tem como finalidade, através de ampla pesquisa bibliográfica, apontar a importância e a magnitude da construção de Brasília, a partir da análise parcial do seu “corpo”, o Eixo Monumental. Para tanto, foram escolhidas três obras para serem abordadas, como grandes representantes do período atual e futuro da área: o Museu Nacional Honestino Guimarães, a Biblioteca Nacional Leonel de Moura Brizola e a ainda não construída Praça da Soberania. Apesar de não serem mais importantes que os demais edifícios do Eixo, estas se destacam pela sua beleza e funcionalidade. Exemplares autênticos do modernismo popularizado no Brasil por Oscar Niemeyer, foram analisados itens como o projeto inicial, o processo de execução do edifício, a situação atual da obra e curiosidades gerais dos monumentos e suas impressões.

This scholarly work, titled "Monumental Architecture: Present and Future," aims, through extensive literature search, pointing out the importance and magnitude of the construction of Brasilia, from the partial analysis of its "body", the Monumental Axis. To this end, three works were chosen to be addressed, such as major representatives of the current period and future of the area: the National Museum Honestino Guimarães, the National Library Leonel de Moura Brizola and still unbuilt Square Sovereignty. Although they are not more important than the other buildings of the Axis, they are distinguished by their beauty and functionality. Authentic copies of Modernism popularized in Brazil by Oscar Niemeyer, items were analyzed as the initial project, the implementation process of the building, the current status of the work of the monuments and curiosities and general impressions.
